A charming home that Ben and Erin Napier renovated two years ago just hit the market for $229,000. Home Town fans may recognize the cottage as the Kollar House from the hit HGTV show.
Looking to settle down in a Laurel, Mississippi, Rebecca and Matt Kollar, who are both doctors, bought the house in 2018. The 2,160-square-foot had plenty of potential, and the Napiers helped transform it into the Kollar’s dream home on season 3, episode 12 of the series. Now, the 3-bedroom home is back on the market because the Kollars recently had to relocate for work, according to Realtor.com.
Sticking to a budget of $200,000, Ben and Erin focused on renovating the living space, kitchen, deck, and exterior of the home. They added crown molding to the walls of the living room as well as a reclaimed antique mantle to the fireplace. They also knocked down a wall dividing the living room and the kitchen to make the space more open.
Along with the kitchen, living room, and dining area, the sunroom also got a major makeover. Ben built white cabinets to flank the red brick stairs leading to the sunroom. The Napiers also installed new windows and glass doors that open to a spacious deck with seating.
“It’s bittersweet,” the listing’s broker Kandace Monsivais of Red Fox Realty tells Realtor.com. “Even after the show, they renovated every single room. Everything’s been done.”
The Kollar House isn’t the only Home Town house that’s landed on the market. In January, a bungalow-style home the Napiers renovated during season 2 of the series was listed for $185,000.
