Almost 100 homes have been sold in Forest Hills during the past year but only three are now on the market.

The larger Midtown Montgomery neighborhood provides residents an ideal launching pad to reach all parts of the Capital City. Forest Hills is bounded by Harrison Road on the south, Perry Hill Road, Atlanta Highway, Greenwood Cemetery and Lee Oaks.

“Forest Hills has a central location, close to Interstate 85 and shopping,” Realtor Brandt Wright said. “Forest Hills is close to almost anything you might need.”

Forest Hills residents can easily access Interstate 85, Atlanta Highway and Perry Hill Road, making a trip to either east Montgomery or downtown a breeze. Shopping at Walmart, and along Atlanta Highway and Zelda Road, as well as in Eastbrook Shopping Center, are all convenient from Forest Hills.

An elementary, middle, and Lee High School are all less than five minutes from any Forest Hills home.

Lots in Forest Hills offer homebuyers a great variety. Home sites range from flat to extremely hilly. Home designs vary as well. There are one and two-story designs, and many homes include basements. Wright said that most Forest Hills homes are from 25 to 60 years old.

Several churches border Forest Hills, and one, Eastern Hills Baptist, is situated in the middle of the neighborhood. Towering trees are a constant presence in Forest Hills. The trees provide welcoming shade in the summer and help create Forest Hills’ unique character.

A home at 3602 Madolyn Lane is for sale for $149,000 and includes three bedrooms and two bathrooms within 1,537 square feet of living space.

“The home has a large living room addition with a fireplace and extra interior storage,” Wright said. “The home is located on a corner lot with a fenced back yard, covered porch, open deck and an exterior storage building.”

The home has wood flooring in most rooms. The kitchen includes an eat-in area, pantry and breakfast bar.

Most of the home’s interior was recently repainted, and the air conditioner was replaced, Wright said. The house was built in 1964.
