East Petaluma home engulfed in flames Thursday night

An east Petaluma house was engulfed in flames and at least 1 other was weakened Thursday evening after a fireplace torched a garage and auto at a property in the 400 block of Garfield Generate.

No just one was wounded, claimed Petaluma Fireplace Office Battalion Chief Chad Costa, although two individuals had been examined at the scene for smoke inhalation.

The hearth commenced about 7:20 p.m., and as firefighters circled the residence, flames shot some 30 feet into the air.
